Léon Trulin, jeune Belge né à Ath (Belgique) en 1895, émigre sur Lille après le décès de son père. Dès que la 1ère guerre mondiale éclate, il veut s'engager dans l'armée Belge qui le réforme. Malgré ce refus, il monte un réseau avec des amis de son âge face à l'occupation Allemande. En octobre 1915, il est capturé alors qu'il veut gagner la frontière Hollandaise (alors neutre), jugé, condamné par l'autorité Allemande de Lille (le général von Heinrich) et fusillé le 08 novembre 1915. Ici, 98 ans plus tard, les drapeaux de l'Union des Anciens Combattants de Lille rendent hommage au jeune homme.

Léon Trulin born in Ath (Belgium) in 1895, move to Lille after father's death. As 1st world war begin, he wants to enlist in the Belgian Army but he's not enlisted because his constitution is too weak. Despite to be refused, he suceed to establish a intelligence network with  some of his friend to help British and allies forces by gathering informations against German military occupation in northern France and Belgium. In October 1915, he's captured crossing the border between Belgium and the neutral Holland, judged, convicted by the German Authority (General Von Heinrich, lille governor) and shooted the 11/08/1915. Here, 98 years after, the flags of the Former Lille Soldiers give a tribute to the young man.
