Léon Trulin born in Ath (Belgium) in 1895, move to Lille after father's death. As 1st world war begin, he wants to enlist in the Belgian Army but he's not enlisted because his constitution is too weak. Despite to be refused, he suceed to establish a intelligence network with some of his friend to help British and allies forces by gathering informations against German military occupation in northern France and Belgium. In October 1915, he's captured crossing the border between Belgium and the neutral Holland, judged, convicted by the German Authority (General Von Heinrich, lille governor) and shooted the 11/08/1915. Here, 98 years after, the flags of the Former Lille Soldiers give a tribute to the young man.
