Un Tank à Villers-Plouich

Désireux d'honorer ceux qui avaient voulu briser l'emprise des armées Allemandes dans son village natal dont les récits des vétérans de 14 qu'il a connu tout jeune, quand il servait dans le café familial...M.Jacques Parmentier n'a cessé d'être habité par le désir fort de matérialiser cette volonté commémoratrice.

Issu de son imagination et volonté, M.Jacques Parmentier, habile fils de maréchal-ferrant, a pensé, dessiné et construit SEUL, un mémorial dédié aux forces Britanniques commémorant la bataille de Cambrai en novembre 1917 et symbolisant un "Mark IV" aux couleurs tricolores anglaises et françaises.

Le mémorial, ingénieusement monté sur une remorque, pèse 1 TONNE, constitué d'une armature de métal où 150 obus de 75 y ont été soudés, assemblés, avec patience, habileté et détermination.

Sur Google map, vous ne trouverez pas l'image du mémorial car le monument est plus récent que le travail de repérage de Google, néanmoins, je la joins à cet article.

A tank in Villers-Plouich

In order to pay a tribute to whose who had wanted to break the grip of the German armies in his native village, and inspired by the accounts of the WW1 veterans he knew in his chilhood when he served them in the family cafe ... M.Jacques Parmentier, has never ceased to be inhabited by a strong desire to materialize this commemorative will.

From his imagination and will, Mr. Jacques Parmentier, a clever blacksmith son, thought, designed and built ALONE, a memorial dedicated to the British forces who fought during the Battle of Cambrai in November 1917 symbolizing a "Mark IV" tank with english and french three colours national strips flags.

The memorial, ingeniously mounted on a trailer, weighs 1 TON, consisting of a metal frame where 150 french barrels shells of 75 were welded, assembled, with patience, skill and determination.

On Google map, you will not find the memorial pict because the monument was planted after the google location work, nevertheless, I add it to this article.
